Abstract: Issues of corruption and democracy in post-colonial Africa

The South African Association of Public Administration and Management (SAAPAM) comprises the provincial chapters in the make-up of its national body. These chapters are required to have their activities on a regular basis to ensure that the association's relevance is maintained in promoting the science and practice of public administration. The Limpopo chapter of SAAPAM have successfully staged its third annual conference, which was able to attract delegates from outside the country. Perhaps in part, this was due to the call for papers, which undertook to indicate that papers would be subjected to a peer reviewing process in line with the Journal of Public Administration (JoPA) guidelines. While conference proceedings were compiled for the delegates, this journal issue considers some of the outstanding papers that were subjected to a double blind peer reviewing process. These papers were found by the editor to be of high standard
