It is important for municipalities to continue managing their corporate communications regardless of the COVID-19 pandemic. These oblige municipalities to utilise the fundamental technological advances that are available in the 21st century. With the rapid increase of infections in South Africa, clearly the COVID-19 pandemic does not show signs of disappearing anytime soon. This has led to municipalities and other companies in different sectors reconsidering their traditional ways of doing business incorporating new media and other technological innovations.
